Company History

The original company in the group, Biodeg (formulations) Ltd was established in 1983 to complement major chemical companies existing facilities. In 1989 Biodeg Chemical Co Ltd was formed to manufacture speciality chemicals, and concentrated on three main areas: -

• Toll and Custom Manufacture
• Small lot or nuisance chemicals
• Difficult or Hazardous chemicals

With the Owners commitment to supporting the chemical industries outsourcing business, and continued inward investment the company grew strongly. By 1991 the original site had reached full capacity, and thus the present site was purchased. This allowed the company to maintain the Speed, Response, and Flexibility synonymous with its name, while increasing the service and product range offered to our customers.

In 1994 the company strengthened its position as a leading contract manufacturer by entering into partnership with the Transol Group of companies.

This partnership was terminated in 1999 following the purchase of the Transol Group by Royal Pakhood and a new partnership entered into with the Crestchem Group of Companies.

In 2010 Crestchem Holdings Limited including the Biodeg shareholding was purchased by Meade-King, Robinson & Co as part of their ongoing expansion plans across the EC opening further avenues of opportunity.

Resulting from these various partnerships Biodeg have invested continuously in its facilities and product development and we are now ready for further sustained growth.
